Paris Saint-Germain sign Hatem Ben Arfa on free transfer

Midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa signs for Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year contract.

Paris Saint-Germain have announced that they have signed midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa on a two-year deal.

After an excellent season with Nice, the 29-year-old had attracted interest from across Europe due to his availability on a free transfer and there had been reports linking him with a return to the Premier League.

However, the playmaker will play in Paris next season after signing for PSG, who have recently appointed Unai Emery as their new coach.

It had been claimed that Emery's previous club Sevilla had been in contention to sign the French international but he has now committed himself to the Ligue 1 champions until 2018.

Ben Arfa scored 18 goals in 35 appearances for Nice last season.
