Carlo Ancelotti shocked at Mamadou Sakho outburst

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti says that he was surprised to hear Mamadou Sakho's outburst against the club.

Paris Saint-Germain manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he was shocked to hear Mamadou Sakho's outburst against the club.

The French international, who lost his starting place in the side towards the end of the season, insisted that he would demand a move away from the club if another defender was brought in during the summer.

"I was a little surprised because I spoke with Mamadou at the end of last season," said the former Chelsea manager.

"He was worried because he hadn't played. But he must understand that PSG will become a big club, there is a lot of competition for his place.

"I hope Mamadou accepts competition as he told me when we talked together. If a formal request to leave, it will be up to the club and the coach to make the decision."

Sakho, who missed out on Euro 2012 selection, has been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.
