Carlo Ancelotti insists that Marco Verratti will stay at Paris Saint-Germain beyond the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Marco Verratti will not leave the Ligue 1 club in the summer.

The Italy international midfielder's impressive performances for PSG this season have attracted interest from a number of European clubs, with Real Madrid and Juventus reportedly monitoring him.

"For a debut season, he has played very well," Ancelotti told reporters. "He will be a very important player for the future of PSG and Italy. The players important to PSG stay at PSG."

Verratti joined PSG from Pescara last summer.
