Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti insists that his players are fully deserving of their Ligue 1 title triumph.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that his players deserve their Ligue 1 title triumph following Sunday's win over Lyon.

Les Parisiens were crowned champions of France for the first time since 1994 thanks to a narrow 1-0 victory at the Stade de Gerland.

"It's a title that occupies the same place in my heart as the others which I've won," Goal.com quotes Ancelotti as saying. "These are great memories. I'm very happy.

"We have reached our objectives of winning Ligue 1 and going far in the Champions League. The team did a good job. They're very professional. Everyone is happy. We deserve this title."

PSG continue their league campaign on Saturday when they host Brest at the Parc des Princes.
