Preston North End boss Simon Grayson has hinted that Kevin Davies could be offered a new deal with the League One club.
The 37-year-old striker's current contract at Deepdale is due to expire at the end of the season.
Davies has made 37 appearances for the Lillywhites during the current campaign, and Grayson has suggested that the veteran forward could be rewarded for his work on and off the pitch with fresh terms.
"Kev's contributed massively to this club since he's been here and that's the reason why he brought him," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"He's got a fantastic attitude and we've been delighted with what Kev's done for this football club since he's been here. We'll talk about the [contract] situation when everyone feels fit and proper to do it."
Preston continue their promotion bid on Sunday when they make the trip to Fleetwood Town.
