Bradley Fewster joins Preston North End on loan

England Under-19 striker Bradley Fewster joins Preston North End on loan from Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough and England Under-19 striker Bradley Fewster has joined League One side Preston North End on a youth loan deal until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old, who will take the number 29 shirt at Deepdale, will ease the League One club's problems in forward areas, after Joe Garner was ruled out for up to four months with a tendon injury and previous loanee Callum Robinson was recalled by Aston Villa.

"Bradley has a fantastic pedigree. He is still a young lad learning his trade, but he has scored lots of goals for Middlesbrough's Under-21s and for England," Preston boss Simon Grayson told the club's official website.

"We feel we have got a player who can play anywhere across the front line. He is a different type of player to Callum Robinson, but he is a player looking to continue to learn his trade and if he has anywhere near the impact that Callum did, we will be delighted."

Fewster has scored five goals in five games for the England Under-19 side, including a debut goal in a 1-1 draw with Germany in September.
