Peterborough United captain Grant McCann has insisted that he is not planning on leaving the club.
The 31-year-old has been linked with a move away from London Road in recent weeks, with Championship leaders Southampton credited with an interest.
However, McCann has hinted that he would be willing to end his career with the Posh.
"Rumours start all the time and I don't know where they come from. I think when you are a footballer you take it with a pinch of salt," he told the club's official website.
"It is always nice to be talked about by other clubs but I am happy where I am. I have just bought a new house and my little boy is going to school, so there is no reason for me to be going anywhere.
"I am loving my football here. I would like to end my career at Peterborough but it is not really in my hands - it is down to whoever sorts the contracts out at the club."
McCann has 18 months remaining on his Peterborough contract.
