Dagenham & Redbridge striker Dwight Gayle has joined Peterborough United on a short-term loan deal until January.
Gayle was set to join Posh at the end of the season but the deal has now been changed so that the 22-year-old can act as cover for the Peterborough first team for the next month and a half.
"Some business moved forward now with signing of young Dwight Gayle who has joined us till the start of January," Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony told Peterborough Today. "He is an energetic, pacey, strong, striker.
"Everyone at the club is excited to have Dwight join us and we have no doubt he will be a big fans' favourite. Thanks to Dagenham & Redbridge for doing business!"
Gayle has seven goals for Dagenham & Redbridge this season.
