Parma beat AC Milan in topsy-turvy thriller

Marco Parolo scores twice as Parma secure a last-gasp 3-2 victory over AC Milan, despite allowing a 2-0 lead to slip through their fingers.

AC Milan recovered from two goals against Parma this afternoon, but were still unable to avoid defeat thanks to a dramatic late winner from Marco Parolo.

The Rossoneri were left with a mountain to climb by some clinical finishing from Parma early on, with Marco Parolo's measured drive into the far corner putting the hosts ahead after 10 minutes.

Andrea Poli came close to equalising soon after but Parma were able to counter ruthlessly to extend their advantage in first-half stoppage time, as former Milan forward Antonio Cassano guided home.

Massimiliano Allegri made a double change at the interval as Mario Balotelli and Poli were replaced by Kaka and Alessandro Matri, with the change having an instant impact.

On the hour-mark Milan reduced the deficit through Alessandro Matri, who wriggled in his first goal for the club just moments after Walter Gargano struck the crossbar at the other end.

Just two minutes later the visitors were level courtesy of a header from Matias Silvestre, who reacted quickest after Cristian Zapata's effort from close range struck the upright.

Milan's efforts looked to have secured a point but there was still late drama in store, as Parolo's stoppage-time free kick from all of 30 yards took a bounce before squeezing inside the near post.
