West Bromwich Albion dealt blow in Franco Vazquez chase?

West Bromwich Albion reportedly have a bid rejected for Palermo striker Franco Vazquez.

West Bromwich Albion have reportedly had an offer rejected by Palermo for forward Franco Vazquez.

The Baggies were believed to be competing with Tottenham Hotspur for the Argentine-born player's signature.

However, Gazzamercato claims that a €15m (£11.8m) offer has been turned down by the Rosanero.

It is thought that Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini is holding out for offers around €25m (£19.3m) for the 27-year-old.

A host of Serie A clubs, including AC Milan and Roma, are believed to be interested in acquiring the striker.
