Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including Orlando City vs. New York Red Bulls

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including Orlando City vs. New York Red Bulls.

Toronto vs. Minnesota Utd (Saturday, 7.30pm)

Still seeking their first victory of the 2025 MLS campaign, Toronto will host Minnesota United on Saturday afternoon at BMO Field.

A 1-1 draw with Inter Miami in their previous outing lifted the Reds to 14th in the Eastern Conference with three points, while the Loons are third in the West on 14 points following a 2-1 win over New York City FC.

We say: Toronto 1-0 Minnesota United

Toronto have played much better than the results may indicate, and we believe their improved defensive structure will see them finally claim maximum points against a side that rely heavily on transitional moments.

Atlanta vs. New England (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Unbeaten in their last three matches, Atlanta United will welcome New England Revolution to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in round eight of the 2025 MLS season.

While the home side seem to have picked up the pace in recent weeks following a rough start, the visitors are on a downward spiral, having lost four of their last five matches.

We say: Atlanta United 3-1 New England Revolution

Atlanta United have had little problem getting themselves on the scoresheet, and we expect them to put on another impressive attacking display en route to a comfortable win at the end of the 90 minutes here.

Orlando City vs. NY Red Bulls (Saturday, 9.30pm)

Two sides with similar starts to the 2025 Major League Soccer season are in action on Saturday as Orlando City welcome New York Red Bulls to Inter&Co Stadium.

Both teams boast 11 points apiece from their opening seven matches and are separated in the standings by only goal difference heading into this weekend's meeting.

We say: Orlando City 2-1 New York Red Bulls

There is little to choose between the teams, and Saturday's game could easily swing in either direction.

However, we are just about leaning towards a win for the home side when all is said and done.

DC United vs. Cincinnati (Sunday, 12.30am)

Two sides who have had a contrasting start to the 2025 Major League Soccer campaign square off on Sunday morning as DC United and FC Cincinnati go head to head at Audi Field.

While the Black-and-Red have lost each of their last three outings, the visitors head into the weekend looking to secure a third victory on the bounce for the first time since August 2024.

We say: DC United 1-2 FC Cincinnati

Still reeling from their humiliating defeat against San Jose, DC United will head into the weekend looking to restore some pride and snap their losing streak. While breaching opposition defences has not been an issue for the Black-and-Red, they have struggled to impose themselves at the back and we fancy Cincinnati to come away with the desired result this weekend.

NY City vs. Philadelphia (Sunday, 12.30am)

New York City FC can end a three-match winless run in MLS on Saturday when they welcome the Philadelphia Union to Citi Field in Queens.

Last weekend, the Pigeons suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at the hands of Minnesota United, dropping them down to 11th in the Eastern Conference, five points below the Union, who are third following a 0-0 draw with Orlando City.

We say: New York City FC 2-1 Philadelphia Union

Despite the Pigeons' struggling to close out games, we expect to see a highly motivated Matt Freese determined to make a statement, having served as backup to Blake for several years in Philly.

Vancouver vs. Austin (Sunday, 12.30am)

Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Jeser Sorensen pictured on March 12, 2025© Imago

The early pacesetters in the 2025 MLS season will look to continue their fine start to proceedings this term when Vancouver Whitecaps take on Austin FC on Sunday.

Three points behind their hosts, the away side have also been impressive in the early knockings of the campaign and now have an opportunity to deliver a statement of intent against the current leaders.

We say: Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 Austin FC

Austin FC have been tough to breach this season, but given Vancouver's attacking exploits, we are backing them to register more than once against their visitors en route to a comfortable win.

Montreal vs. Charlotte FC (Sunday, 12.30am)

Charlotte FC head coach Dean Smith pictured on March 30, 2024© Imago

CF Montreal will be looking to get their 2025 Major League Soccer campaign up and running when they play host to Charlotte FC at the Saputo Stadium on Sunday morning.

The Crown will head into the weekend looking to end their run of three consecutive away defeats against Marco Donadel's men and punch down their first win on the road this season.

We say: CF Montreal 0-2 Charlotte FC

Charlotte have put together a fine run of results in recent weeks and will be licking their lips as they go up against an opposing side who are yet to find their feet this season. Having dug deep to see off Nashville last time out, Smith's men will head into this one with confidence and we are tipping them to heap more misery on the floundering hosts.

Dallas vs. Seattle (Sunday, 1.30am)

Seeking to snap their run of five consecutive games without a win across all competitions, Seattle Sounders visit the Toyota Stadium to face Dallas on Sunday morning.

The Bulls head into the weekend unbeaten in each of their last four home games against Brian Schmetzer's men, claiming two wins and two draws since a 1-0 defeat in August 2021, and will be looking to extend this fine run.

We say: Dallas 2-1 Seattle Sounders

While it has been a difficult few weeks for Seattle Sounders, Dallas appear to have hit their stride of late and will be backing themselves to come away with something this weekend. Home advantage gives the Bulls an extra edge here and we fancy them to come out on top, albeit by the odd goal.

Nashville vs. Salt Lake (Sunday, 1.30am)

Nashville SC will host Real Salt Lake in their gameweek eight MLS fixture at Geodis Park this weekend.

Off the back of successive losses, the hosts will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat, while the visitors will aim to earn consecutive victories for the first time this season.

We say: Nashville SC 1-1 Real Salt Lake

There is not a lot of difference in terms of quality between Saturday's competitors, and with the two teams on equal footing, we predict that this match will end in a 1-1 draw.

> Major League Soccer preview: Nashville vs Salt Lake

Colorado vs. San Diego (Sunday, 2.30am)

New San Diego FC coach Mikey Varas pictured with the USA U-20 team on May 26, 2023© Imago

Colorado Rapids will welcome San Diego to the Dick's Sporting Goods Park this weekend for their gameweek eight MLS fixture.

The hosts enter this fixture off the back of a 2-0 defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps, while the visitors are looking to claim their third consecutive victory.

We say: Colorado Rapids 1-2 San Diego

Colorado Rapid have been impressive so far, but they will be up against a motivated San Diego side that are in fine fettle, and given the quality within the visitors' ranks, we back them to edge their hosts 2-1.

LA Galaxy vs. Houston (Sunday, 3.30am)

In what is a clash of two struggling sides, LA Galaxy will host Houston Dynamo in their gameweek eight Major League Soccer fixture this weekend at the Dignity Health Sports Park.

Los Angeles Galaxy, who are without a win are confined to the bottom of the standings with two points from seven matches, while the visiting side will be looking for their second win of the season.

We say: Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0 Houston Dynamo

Despite earning their first victory in their last outing, the lack of firepower in Ben Olsen's team could limit them against the hosts, therefore, we expect LAFC to earn a narrow 1-0 win to record their first victory of the season.

Los Angeles vs. Earthquakes (Sunday, 3.30am)

Los Angeles FC seek a response to their CONCACAF Champions Cup exit as they host the San Jose Earthquakes in Saturday's MLS contest at BMO Stadium.

Steve Cherundolo's men enter this gameweek eight clash having lost consecutive league matches and three of their last four across all competitions, which the visiting side, who overwhelmed DC United 6-1 last weekend, aim to exploit.

We say: Los Angeles FC 2-1 San Jose Earthquakes

With the Champions Cup no longer a distraction, LAFC are expected to refocus on the league, and they are anticipated to inflict another loss on their opponents, who have suffered defeat in nine of their last 12 away games in MLS since May 2024.
