Burnley defender Joseph Mills has left the club to join Oldham Athletic on a one-month loan deal.
The 23-year-old has yet to feature for the Championship side this season, and Clarets boss Sean Dyche has insisted that the former Reading man needs games under his belt.
The 42-year-old told the club's official website: "We feel that Joe needs some games. Danny Lafferty is in control of the shirt at the minute and with Ben Mee coming back, it gives us another option.
"We've got to have players who are fit and ready to come into the side if needs be but with three left-backs, we felt Joe was one that could go out."
Mills could feature for Oldham in their League One fixture against Peterborough United on Saturday.
