Kelvin Wilson praises "professional" duo Henri Lansbury, Michail Antonio

Kelvin Wilson hails Nottingham Forest teammates Henri Lansbury and Michail Antonio for refusing to let speculation over their futures get the better of them.

Kelvin Wilson has revealed that he knows exactly what Henri Lansbury and Michail Antonio are currently experiencing, but insists that neither of his Nottingham Forest teammates will be distracted.

Lansbury has been strongly linked with a £4m switch to Burnley in recent weeks, while Antonio is a reported target for rivals Derby County.

Despite both players' futures looking uncertain at this moment in time, Wilson is adamant that the ongoing speculation will not get the better of them.

"I have been through it before myself, as a player. I was linked with other teams when I was at Celtic and previously when I have been elsewhere," he is quoted as saying by the Nottingham Post. "My last game for Celtic was a Champions League qualifier – a really important game.

"I found out that afternoon that I would be signing for Forest. I played that last game and gave it my all and it is at the back of your mind that you might get an injury that could change things. But you have to be professional. You have a contract and you are paid to do a job.

"Your head can be all over the place and the sooner the club and the players can get it sorted, the better. But Henri Lansbury was man of the match and Michail Antonio produces in every game. The lads have been brilliant, they have not been distracted by any speculation. They have been professional."
