Nottingham Forest chairman Frank Clark is reportedly forced to step down from his position by the Al-Hasawi family.

Nottingham Forest chairman Frank Clark has reportedly become the second member of the Championship club to face the axe from the outfit's new Kuwaiti owners.

The 68-year-old is believed to have been asked to step down by the Al-Hasawi family on the same day that they sacked manager Steve Cotterill.

It is understood that Clark held a meeting with the new owners yesterday morning and has agreed to part ways with the Championship club, according to the Daily Mail.

A host of managers have been linked to the vacant coaching role but reports have claimed that Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson is the favourite to replace Cotterill.
