Norwich City are reportedly ready to bid £6m for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella as Chris Hughton searches for experienced forwards.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton is reportedly considering an audacious bid to sign Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella this summer.

The 30-year-old faces a struggle to secure first-team football in Turin next season due to Juve's addition of Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente to their forward line during the close season.

Canaries boss Hughton wants Quagliarella to form a new strike partnership with Ricky van Wolfswinkel at Carrow Road, and according to The Mirror is willing to meet his £6m asking price.

Quagliarella's wage demands are thought to be the main stumbling block to a shock move to Norfolk, but the Italy international is open to a Premier League switch in principle.

In 25 appearances for his country Quagliarella has scored six goals, including Italy's final strike at the 2010 World Cup.
