Norwich manager Chris Hughton denies that James Vaughan is leaving Carrow Road.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has denied that striker James Vaughan is to leave the club.

Vaughan had been rumoured to be joining Celtic on a season-long loan, but Hughton has insisted that the striker is part of his first-team plans.

Regarding a possible move to Celtic, Hughton said: "There is nothing in that. That is news to me.

"James has done well in the period of time that he has been with us since the start of pre-season. He is pushing for a first-team place like the rest of the lads.

Hughton recently joined Norwich City after leaving Birmingham City.
