Wes Hoolahan signs new Norwich City deal

Norwich City reveal that midfielder Wes Hoolahan has signed a new contract extension until 2015.

Norwich City midfielder Wes Hoolahan has signed a new contract extension with the club until 2015.

The Canaries revealed that the 30-year-old had put pen to paper on the deal on their official website.

The Republic of Ireland international, who joined the club from Blackpool in 2008, has been a vital part of Norwich's side this season and admitted his delight after signing.

"I am over the moon. I always wanted to sign a new deal and the club have given me the opportunity to sign a long-term deal here. I couldn't be happier," he said.

"I am here until 2015, I have been here for four years and that would take me to seven.

"I have really enjoyed my time here, my family love it here and it is great to pencil it down and I am just looking forward to the rest of the season now. We are doing even better this season and hopefully we can keep that run going."

Hoolahan scored in Norwich's 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic this afternoon, extending their unbeaten run to 10 games.
