Norwich chief: 'We have every confidence in Farke'

Norwich City chiefs reaffirm their support for manager Daniel Farke, who has come under scrutiny after a 7-0 thrashing to Chelsea on Saturday.

Norwich City chiefs have reinforced their confidence in current manager Daniel Farke.

The Canaries have failed to win any of their nine games in the Premier League so far this season and sit at the foot of the division with just two points as a result, leading to questions over the boss's future at Carrow Road.

The Norwich hierarchy have continued to back the German though, with sporting director Stuart Webber saying: "To be questioning, Daniel, at this point, I think would be incredibly unfair," as quoted by the Daily Mail.

Farke's men suffered a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea on Saturday, leading to increased scrutiny, and Webber continued, saying: "If you asked Daniel are we happy at the minute? Of course not none of us are. It's unacceptable. Unacceptable what happened on Saturday, and unacceptable in terms of our points return, none of us want that."

"It's about supporting, being together and trying to get through this not finger pointing or putting an amount of games on people, or you must get this amount of points on the next few games."

The 44-year-old, who arrived at Carrow Road in 2017, guided the Canaries to their second Championship title under his control last season, with the previous spell in the top flight resulting in an immediate drop down to the second tier, and they now sit five points adrift of safety at this stage of the campaign.
