Paul Buckle hails Luton Town fans

Luton Town boss Paul Buckle says that his team could not have beaten Norwich City without the support of the travelling fans.

Luton Town manager Paul Buckle has hailed the travelling fans for inspiring his team to a giant-killing victory at Norwich City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Hatters toppled the Premier League side on their own patch thanks to a late goal from Scott Rendall and became the first non-league team to beat a top flight club since 1989.

"It's an amazing day, magnificent," said the 42-year-old. "We needed to stop a Premier League team from scoring and we've done that.

"We weren't going to come here and sit back, there's no point. But we couldn't have done it today without the supporters. When we came out for the warm-up they were singing and getting behind us.

"Then mid-way through the second half, I think they could sense that we could do something - and we have. It's a wonderful day for this football club."

Luton are now in the hat for the fifth round of the FA Cup.
