Stephen Keshi: 'Nigeria don't know Iran very well'

Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi admits that he does not know much about first World Cup opponents Iran as the two sides prepare to face each other on Monday in Curitiba.

Nigeria manager Stephen Keshi has admitted that he does not know much about Iran, their first World Cup opponents, but is mindful of the experience of their coach Carlos Queiroz.

The Asian country are appearing in their fourth World Cup finals, having gone out at the group stages with just one point back in 2006, while their Portuguese manager has previously been at the helm of Real Madrid and Portugal.

The Super Eagles manager told reporters: "We don't know Iran very well, but we'll see them on Monday.

"We have to be focused. We have to concentrate and do our job. We're not going to take Iran lightly because they're not going to take us lightly.

"They have a very good coach and I'm sure they also have some quality players."

The two sides meet tomorrow evening in Curitiba for their opening Group F fixture.
