Report: Hatem Ben Arfa free to leave Newcastle United this summer

Hatem Ben Arfa is reportedly allowed to leave Newcastle United this summer after dropping out of the first team under manager Alan Pardew.

Newcastle United are reportedly open to offloading Hatem Ben Arfa this summer after the Frenchman fell out of favour at St James' Park.

Manager Alan Pardew confirmed towards the end of the season that Ben Arfa had been training away from the first team since recovering from a dead leg last month.

Following reports of a bust-up between manager and player, The Shields Gazette have reported that the 27-year-old could leave for around £3m due to having just one year remaining on his contract.

Ben Arfa last played for Newcastle in their 1-0 defeat to Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on April 12.
