Report: QPR's Charlie Austin wants to join Newcastle United this summer

In-demand Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin reportedly wants to join Newcastle United this summer.

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin is reportedly prepared to snub interest from numerous Premier League clubs to sign for Newcastle United this summer.

The 25-year-old, who was relegated to the Championship with QPR this season, is believed to have attracted interest from the Magpies, as well as Southampton, West Ham United and Aston Villa.

Due to the club's fall into the second tier of English football, the R's are reportedly willing to sell, but it is believed that they will only entertain offers of £15m.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle are prepared to part with around £10m for Austin's services, but they have been boosted by the striker's desire to move to St James' Park following the appointment of new head coach Steve McClaren.

Austin, who received his first senior England call-up last month, has been at Loftus Road since his 2013 move from Burnley.
