Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew says that he will dip into the transfer market in January.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has claimed that the North East outfit are planning to spend in the January transfer window.

The Premier League club have been hit with a number of injuries during the first half of the season and reports have claimed that the Magpies will be back in the market for Lille full-back Mathieu Debuchy, whom they failed to acquire in the summer window.

"The managing director and owner are now trying to make sure we look at the period of events leading up to the next transfer window and we'll react from there," The Metro quotes Pardew as saying.

Meanwhile, Newcastle can reach the last 32 of the Europa League with a win over Maritimo this evening.
