Papiss Cisse 'turns down' move to Trabzonspor

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse turns down a move to Turkish club Trabzonspor, citing 'football reasons'.

Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has reportedly turned down a move to Turkish club Trabzonspor.

The Senegalese had been the subject of a £7m bid from the Super Lig outfit earlier today, but he is reported to have refused the move due to "football reasons".

Cisse scored 13 goals in 12 games after his arrival from Freiburg in January 2012, but the Senegal international has found the back of the net only once in the Premier League this season.

Trabzonspor, currently boasting the likes of Jose Bosingwa and Florent Malouda, had a £4m bid for Cisse turned down last week.
