Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett is reportedly expected to commit his future to the North-East club by signing a new contract.
The 22-year-old helped the Magpies hold on to a 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Saturday after giving his side a 2-1 advantage following his arrival from the substitutes' bench.
Due to his progress so far this season, the Magpies have begun preliminary talks over a new contract, according to the Shields Gazette.
Dummett penned a one-year deal at St James' Park last summer following a loan stint at St Mirren.
