Newcastle United are preparing an offer for Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout, according to a report.
The Magpies are looking to strengthen the squad during January's transfer market as they continue to fight for survival in the Premier League.

According to FootMercato, Newcastle are now preparing to make Roma an offer to sign Veretout, who is playing his third season with the Serie A club.
Veretout does have experience in England's top flight after playing for Aston Villa during the 2015-16 campaign, where he made 25 appearances in the Premier League.
The midfielder has been a regular under Jose Mourinho this season, having featured 18 times in Serie A, only missing one match due to suspension.
