Newcastle United 'have option to buy Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers'

Newcastle United reportedly negotiate an agreement with Queens Park Rangers to sign Loic Remy on a permanent contract at the end of the season.

Newcastle United have reportedly agreed an option to buy striker Loic Remy with Queens Park Rangers.

The Magpies secured the signature of the Frenchman, who scored twice in Newcastle's 3-2 defeat to Hull City last weekend, on a season-long loan in the summer.

It is understood that Newcastle are keen to keep hold of Remy beyond the season and have negotiated a pre-agreed fee for a permanent move with QPR, according to The Journal.

The move will only go through if Remy decides at the end of the season to stay put at St James' Park.
