Report: Newcastle United postpone planned discussion with supporters

Newcastle United board members reportedly postpone next Monday's planned meeting with fans until October 20 amid uncertainty over Alan Pardew's future as manager.

Newcastle United board members have reportedly postponed a planned meeting with a group of the club's supporters.

A fan forum was due to take place next Monday to discuss the club's poor start to the season, which has resulted in two draws and two defeats in the Premier League.

According to The Chronicle, the forum were due to address Newcastle's aims for the league season and their campaigns in the cup competitions, but the event has been put back until October 20.

Alan Pardew's position as manager has come under pressure in recent weeks, and now reports have emerged claiming that Hull City boss Steve Bruce could be in line to take over if a change in management occurs.

The Magpies suffered a 4-0 defeat to Southampton at St Mary's on Saturday.
