Newcastle United's Loic Remy backs Papiss Cisse to get over goal drought

Newcastle United's on-loan forward Loic Remy believes that Papiss Cisse will overcome his goal drought sooner rather than later.

Newcastle United's on-loan striker Loic Remy believes that it is only a matter of time before Papiss Cisse finds the back of the net.

The Senegal international has failed to maintain the goal threat he possessed when he arrived at the North-East outfit, where he netted 13 goals in 14 appearances.

"I'm not worried about Papiss, I think he just needs one goal and he will find his confidence again," the Northern Echo quotes Remy as saying.

"He needs to get it as soon as possible for the team, but also for himself and then we will see the real Papiss again."

Cisse has not scored for 1,350 minutes in the Premier League.
