Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez wary of Nottingham Forest threat

Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is not expecting an easy game when his side face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground this evening.

Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez has claimed that he will not be expecting an easy game when they head to the City Ground to take on Nottingham Forest this evening.

The Magpies currently sit at the top of the Championship table with a two-point lead, but they were beaten 1-0 by Blackburn Rovers at St James' Park in their last outing.

Forest reside 17th in the standings having won just six of their 18 league games, but they managed to come from behind to earn a 5-2 triumph over Barnsley last weekend.

"I have spoken to managers after games and they all say the same - when you expect an easy game you get a difficult one. Then when you expect a difficult one sometimes it's easier," The Chronicle quotes Benitez as saying.

"It changes every week and every game because you have two games a week. The style of football changes and who you play against. When so many things change you have to be ready."

Benitez's side are the league's top scorers with 36 goals so far, and Forest are not far behind having hit the back of the net 32 times, but they have also conceded that number.
