Alan Pardew expecting tricky West Bromwich Albion visit

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew claims that a huge effort is needed on Sunday to beat West Brom, who he claims are the "hardest-working team" in the Premier League.

Alan Pardew has warned his Newcastle United side that they will need to match West Bromwich Albion's intensity on Sunday if they are to maintain their impressive form.

The Magpies travel to The Hawthorns on the back of four successive victories, including scalps over Manchester City and Liverpool.

However, Pardew claims that the Baggies are the hardest-working team in the Premier League, and warns that a big effort is needed in order to secure five consecutive wins.

"We are winning games, confidence is good and everyone is playing their part," the 53-year-old told reporters. "We look forward to the game on Sunday.

"West Brom are the hardest-working team in the Premier League so we will have to match that on Sunday."

Kickoff on Sunday is scheduled for 1.30pm.
