Newcastle United's Jonas Gutierrez: 'All the players are giving 100%'

Jonas Gutierrez insists that every Newcastle United player is giving "100%", despite the team's winless run of eight games.

Jonas Gutierrez has insisted that every single Newcastle United player is giving their all, despite the team's eight-game losing run.

The Magpies are lingering dangerously close to relegation in the Premier League as they are currently just two points above the bottom three with three games left to play.

Following Newcastle's 3-0 defeat to Leicester City on Saturday, interim manager John Carver criticised his players and also accused Mike Williamson of deliberately getting sent off in the second half of the clash.

"I don't think any player is giving less than they can," The Shields Gazette quotes Gutierrez as saying. "I can say that all of us our trying our best. I am and I think other players as well. They are giving 100%, and if they are not we do not want them on the team."

The Magpies' next game is at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
