Napoli looking at Pepe Reina buy-out clause?

Reports in Italy suggest Napoli may be looking to activate a buy-out clause in Pepe Reina's contract, allowing the Spaniard to join the club permanently from Liverpool.

Napoli could be looking to activate a buy-out clause in Pepe Reina's contract, allowing the Spaniard to join the club permanently, according to a report in the Italian press.

Corriere dello Sport suggests that the club is seeking to make use of a £5.2m clause, which would also allow them to offer the Liverpool goalkeeper a three-year deal.

Reina has spent the season on loan at the Stadio San Paolo and has seemingly impressed Rafael Benitez enough for the club to consider a permanent deal.

Napoli currently occupy third position in the Serie A table on 68 points.
