Edison Cavani inspires Napoli to a 2-0 victory over Siena to set up a meeting with Juventus in the Coppa Italia final.

Napoli will meet Juventus in the Coppa Italia final after overcoming Siena 2-0 on Wednesday.

The home side started the match with a look of a team keen to gain some early impetus, and it did not take long for them to make their mark.

Edison Cavani came close with an effort after just seven minutes, and they opened the scoring moments later.

They took the lead after 11 minutes when Cavani struck from inside the area, and his effort deflected off Simone Vergassola and into the back of the net.

Siena so nearly scored straight from the restart when Daniele Mannini advanced into the box after 12 minutes, but he could not make contact with an Emanuele Pesoli cross.

The pressure was relentless from Napoli, who twice went close through Gokhan Inler and Ezequiel Lavezzi before Cavani sent them into a 2-0 lead with a header after 31 minutes.

Siena fought desperately for a goal in the early stages of the second period, but their frustration was shown by a series of early bookings.

Cavani had the best chance of the second period on the hour mark, but he passed up the opportunity.

Napoli advance 3-2 on aggregate.
