Montreal Impact: 'Didier Drogba not joining Bologna'

Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will not be making a loan move to Bologna, according to his current club Montreal Impact.

Montreal Impact have dismissed reports that Didier Drogba will move to Bologna on loan when the current MLS season ends.

Recent speculation had suggested that the Ivorian had decided to make the switch to the Serie A outfit to keep up his match fitness over the winter months.

However, Impact have insisted that no such discussions have taken place regarding the 37-year-old.

"The Italian club, the Impact, nor Drogba have ever discussed this possibility," read a statement.

The former Chelsea centre-forward has scored 11 goals for Impact since his arrival in August.
