Montreal Impact winger Dominic Oduro has claimed that he was the victim of racist abuse during his side's CONCACAF Champions League semi-final against Costa Rican side Alajuelense.
The MLS outfit were beaten 4-2 in the second leg in Costa Rica, but advanced through to their first ever Champions League final on away goals.
Ghanaian Oduro, who set up the first goal in the second-leg defeat, alleged after the match that he was targeted by "monkey noises" during the game and insisted that the home fans should be ashamed of their actions.
"So sad that in this generation some fans still make monkey noises when black players are playing the game. Shame to all #alajuelense fans," the 29-year-old wrote on Twitter.
He later added: "Say no to racism on the field."
Oduro is likely to face a return to Costa Rica for the two-legged final, with Herediano leading Club America 3-0 after the first leg of their semi.
