Karl Robinson: 'Crawley Town fans spat, threw tea at MK Dons players'

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson claims that Crawley Town fans spat and threw scalding-hot cups of tea at his players during their League One draw.

Karl Robinson has accused home fans at MK Dons' game against Crawley Town in League One yesterday of spitting and throwing a cup of tea at his players.

The Dons came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw at Crawley, who had striker Matt Harrold in goal for most of the match after Brian Jensen dislocated a finger in the first half.

After the match, Robinson told BBC Sport: "I've had a member of staff spat at, I've had a player have a scalding cup of tea thrown over his head and neck, and the person was not evicted.

"I ran down the touchline to try and grab Carl [Baker, who was allegedly hit by the tea] away. My player had the red mist. You tell me any other walk of life where people can just do that and walk away scot-free.

"By the way, we're not criticising Dean Saunders and his players. They were sensational today."

Crawley have said that they will wait for the referee's report before launching their own investigation into the accusations.
