Martyn Woolford signs for Millwall

Millwall have completed the signing of Martyn Woolford from Bristol City on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The 27-year-old, who made 59 appearances during his time with City, has revealed that he could not turn down the opportunity to join the Championship club.

"I knew there might be some interest from Millwall just before that New Year's Day game, but it has all happened very quickly," he told Sky Sports News.

"I absolutely delighted to coming here at an exciting time for this club, and I'll be speaking to Trotts (Liam Trotter) and Josh [Wright] this afternoon to get the low down."

Woolford moves to The Den for an undisclosed fee.
