Jozsef Varga wants Middlesbrough stay

Debrecen midfielder Jozsef Varga says that he would like to return to Middlesbrough following a loan spell with the Championship club last season.

Hungary international midfielder Jozsef Varga has said that he would like to return to Middlesbrough.

The 25-year-old, who joined Boro last summer on a season-long loan from Debrecen, established himself as a key member of the team under head coach Aitor Karanka.

"I'd like to stay at Middlesbrough," Varga told Nemzeti Sport.

"When I left the English club many people said they would like me to go back. I hope we'll meet again. I can't say any details except that my future may be decided within a week."

Varga made 36 appearances during his spell with the Championship club.
