Dwight Tiendalli joins Middlesbrough on emergency loan from Swansea City

Swansea City defender Dwight Tiendalli joins Middlesbrough on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

Middlesbrough have sealed the signature of defender Dwight Tiendalli from Swansea City on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has made six appearances for the Swans this season, but will end the campaign at the Riverside as Aitor Karanka's side continue their charge towards the Championship title.

Tiendalli first joined the Swans from FC Twente in September 2012 and has received two caps for the Netherlands in his career so far.

The transfer comes the day after Fernando Amorebieta signed from Fulham on loan.
