Middlesbrough have announced that they have appointed former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder as their new manager.
Despite earning a 1-1 draw at promotion-chasing West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, Boro revealed that they had parted company with Neil Warnock.
However, the Championship outfit have wasted no time in securing a replacement, handing the reins to former Sheffield United boss Wilder.
The 54-year-old has been out of work since departing Bramall Lane in March with the club then on the brink of being relegated from the Premier League.
Despite that disappointment, Wilder arrives at the Riverside Stadium having earned multiple promotions from EFL divisions with Northampton Town and the Blades.
Boro, who sit four points adrift of the Championship playoffs, are next in action when they play host to Millwall on November 20.
