Middlesbrough midfielder Grant Leadbitter says that the team "outclassed" Brentford in the second leg of their Championship playoff to reach the Wembley final.

Grant Leadbitter has said that Middlesbrough "outclassed" Brentford in the second leg of their Championship playoff to book a place in the final at Wembley.

Aitor Karanka's side claimed a 3-0 victory at the Riverside to secure a 5-1 aggregate win, setting up a meeting with either Norwich City or Ipswich Town later this month.

The midfielder told Sky Sports News: "We outclassed Brentford tonight. A lot of people have been saying we've had a good season, but we need to get promoted to have a good season."

Lee Tomlin, Kike and Albert Adomah were all on the scoresheet this evening.
