Zenit St. Petersburg confirm Nani talks

Zenit St. Petersburg have confirmed that they are in talks with Manchester United winger Nani.

The Russian club are hoping to secure the Portuguese international's services in the deal worth £25m before the territory's transfer window closes on Thursday.

Zenit previously announced the signings of Hulk and Axel Witsel, and are hoping to add another big name to their squad, with Nani and Joao Moutinho at the top of their shopping list.

Zenit general director Maxim Mitrofanov said: "It's true we are negotiating for Nani and Moutinho, but Hulk and Witsel were our top priorities."

Nani featured as a substitute in United's 3-2 victory over Southampton last weekend.
