Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he expects Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to stay at the club beyond the January transfer window.
Both players have been involved in high-profile and long-running contract disputes with the Gunners, with their current deals due to expire at the end of the season and no sign of an extension on the horizon for either player.
Arsenal had reportedly been considering cashing in on the pair during the January transfer window rather than losing them both for free next summer, but Wenger is fully expecting to have them at his disposal for the remainder of the season.
When asked whether his gut feeling was that Sanchez and Ozil would still be at Arsenal on February 1, Wenger told reporters: "Yes, of course."
The Frenchman went on to rule out the possibility of either leaving "unless something unbelievable happens".
Sanchez has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City, while Ozil is understood to be wanted by Manchester United and Barcelona.
