Arsene Wenger keeping tabs on Manchester United's Paul Pogba

Arsene Wenger is ready to make an offer for Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba, who is yet to agree a new contract at Old Trafford.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is monitoring Paul Pogba's contract situation with Manchester United, according to The People.

The 18-year-old's current deal at Old Trafford will expire during the summer and so far no agreement has been reached over an extension.

The French midfielder is highly rated by the coaching staff at United and manager Sir Alex Ferguson is believed to be ready to offer fresh terms.

However, Pogba is said to be disappointed that he is not in Ferguson's plans at the moment and would consider leaving for a regular action.

The Gunners reportedly tried to sign Pogba from Le Harve before he made the move to United in 2009.
