Manchester United have reportedly decided to sell both Robin van Persie and Angel di Maria to fund a move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale.
United have been repeatedly linked with a move for Bale as reports continue to suggest that he may be sold in the summer, despite Real insisting that they have no intention of letting the Welshman leave the Bernabeu.
According to The Mirror, the club have not been put off by their claims, but they will need to make space on the wage bill before launching a move.
The report suggests that could be the end for both Van Persie and Di Maria as United look to take £500,000 a week of wages off the bill with their exits.
Injuries have prevented Van Persie from making an impact on a regular basis this season, while Di Maria has found it tough to find his best form since joining from Real for a British-record fee last summer.
Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with a move for Di Maria, who cost United £59.7m.
