Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is allegedly planning to sell Wayne Rooney in the summer.
The veteran forward, who has been linked with clubs in the US and China, will be offloaded as part of the Portuguese coach's efforts to reshape the squad he inherited from Louis van Gaal, according to The Express.
Rooney has spent recent matches confined to the bench, but was recalled for last weekend's 3-1 win at Swansea City and repaid his manager's faith with two assists.
The England international was also handed the captain's armband for his country in the Three Lions' 3-1 victory over Scotland at Wembley Stadium.
However, the report suggests that Mourinho could move Rooney on at the end of the season in favour of recruiting a younger replacement.
