Manchester United interested in £50m Ross Barkley signing?

Manchester United manager David Moyes will make a £50m bid for Everton's Ross Barkley in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly ready to try to prise Ross Barkley away from Everton by offering a staggering £50m in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been one of the star performers of the season so far. His superb form has earned mass plaudits as Everton continue their impressive campaign in search of Champions League qualification.

However, Barkley's former manager David Moyes could now be about to raid his old club once again with a huge bid for the midfielder, according to Manchester Evening News.

United are believed to be hoping that an offer in that region would give them the chance to enter talks with Everton and build their bridges, after relations were left tense between the clubs in the summer due to their attempts to sign Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines for a cut-price £28m.

The bid was described as "derisory and insulting" by Everton at the time and United eventually had to pay £27.5m for Fellaini in a last-gasp deadline-day deal.

United have also been linked with the likes of Koke, Wesley Sneijder and Ander Herrera with the transfer window preparing to open on January 1.
