Manchester United 'give Radamel Falcao April deadline'

Injury-prone striker Radamel Falcao will be given until April to prove that he is worthy of a permanent stay at Manchester United, according to reports.

Manchester United have reportedly given striker Radamel Falcao until April to his worth in the Premier League before deciding whether to make his move permanent.

The Colombian frontman joined the Red Devils on a season-long loan from Monaco, but has been hampered by a knee injury that ruined his World Cup hopes in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, United are satisfied that his knee ligament problem has healed, and the 28-year-old saw his first action in six weeks when coming off the bench in the 3-0 victory over Hull City.

Is it thought that club's hierarchy are willing to be patient with Falcao and are believed to view the former Porto player as a rare world-class forward.

Falcao moved to Old Trafford for an initial loan fee of around £6m and any permanent switch could cost the Premier League club up to £50m.
