Manchester United, Chelsea keen on Genoa prospect Pietro Pellegri?

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Genoa youngster Pietro Pellegri, the youngest goalscorer in Serie A history.

Genoa youngster Pietro Pellegri has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for both Manchester United and Chelsea.

Pellegri - who does not turn 17 until March - has already made an impact in Serie A, with his first goal in Italy's top flight coming away at Roma at the end of last season.

Earlier this month, the teenager also netted twice in a league match against Lazio and according to The Sun, that showing has alerted some of the Premier League's top clubs.

It has been suggested that both United and the Blues are ready to rival Juventus for the signing of Pellegri, who could cost in the region of £40m.

Last weekend, Pellegri was given a starring role at San Siro as Genoa suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan.
